The future users, a young couple, (Albert Burgos and Fuensanta Morales) asked us to install a swimming pool, with an official length for a swimmer: 25 meters long and 4 meters width.

The pool is the key factor of the project because of its special dimensions. We decided to put it on the long side of the plot, close to the west part of the house, and it determines the sequential process of the house design. It is the generator element and it orders the domestic spaces.

It generates a new topography in the plot with two “beaches” at different levels (the height of the box), which match the two floors.

Inside, the rooms are connected with the garden and terrace; it generates a fluent and nature relation between them. A new topography is created with these new elements as constructive supports.

The reinforced concrete is the chosen material to generate this continuous surface (vertical and horizontal planes) as an artificial landscape. It is the only constructive element which configures the space, and also it is the structure, such as walls, floor slabs… Everything shapes the living spaces into a big complex.

After the pool, the house is placed as a free plan with an integrating element in the centre: the inner stairs. The program of the house is according to the needs of the users, and it has been studied deeply to fit the users.
